Beeswax candles are non-toxic and biodegradable. When burned, the beeswax candles emit a negative ion that neutralizes pollutants in the air making the air in the area where it is burned cleaner. The negative ion attaches to positively charged particles in the air such as dust, pollen, and other irritants. The bond creates heavy weight that forces pollutants to fall to the ground instead of being inhaled through the breathing.
Beeswax candles can vary in colors from light yellow to dark yellow or brown, depending on type of flowers bees used, pollen, propolis, honey, and the location of wax in the hive. Over time, the beeswax candle will start showing white powder looking color on its surface. It is called “bloom.” Only 100% pure beeswax will have this characteristic.
